Hi, I’m Erwin. My background in software engineering has always driven me to look for the logic in how things work. Photography is my way of bringing that same mindset to the outdoors. For me, it’s about the details found only by slowing down and paying attention.
Most of my work happens close to home in Amsterdam or on short trips nearby. I’ve found that you don't need to travel far to find interesting subjects; there is often more happening in local parks and nature reserves than it seems at first glance. I enjoy returning to the same spots and taking the time to learn exactly where to look.
Traveling allows me to see wildlife that can feel almost surreal until you’re actually seeing it for yourself. But regardless of the destination, my approach remains the same: taking the time to observe the specific behaviors and details that define each animal.
